The Mandela Washington Fellowship brings approximately 550 young African leaders to the United States for a six-week executive-style institute at a U.S. college or university. Eligibility: ages 25-35 (exceptional applicants 21-24 may be considered) as of application deadline; not U.S. citizens or permanent residents; eligible for J-1 visa; proficient in English; citizens and residents of eligible Sub-Saharan African countries; not alumni of the Fellowship. Fellows engage with U.S. experts in business, trade, emerging technologies, governance and security, and join a network of nearly 7,800 alumni.

Applicants must be studying or intending to study a BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering at a recognised South African tertiary institution, maintain a 65% or above academic average, and be South African citizens. Hatch is seeking highly motivated South African students for its Bursary Programme in 2027 for Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering. Minimum requirements: South African citizen; studying or intending to study a BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering at a recognised Tertiary Institution in South Africa; minimum average academic achievement of 65% or above. Required documents: South African Identity Document, Grade 12 results, complete tertiary academic transcript, and comprehensive CV. The bursary covers tuition, allowances, accommodation, vacation work, and additional support services. Successful bursars will have access to mentorship, project experience in South Africa and globally, and local Professional Development Programs upon qualification. The Ithuba Youth Economic Development Programme (IYEDP) 2026 is a City of Tshwane initiative for young people aged 18 to 35 years. It provides access to multiple economic pathways including: skills development and training, artisan and technical training (plumbing, electrical, welding, vehicle mechanics, fitting and turning, boilermaking), driver's licence assistance, entrepreneurship and business development (with an initial R8 million allocation for youth entrepreneurship), work-readiness support, internship opportunities, job placement support, and supplier development. Registration on the official portal does not guarantee employment, internships, funding or training — each opportunity has its own eligibility requirements, application process and selection criteria. KPMG South Africa is inviting students to apply for its bursary programme for the 2027 academic year. The bursary funds full-time studies towards a SAICA accredited Chartered Accountancy CA(SA) qualification. It comes in two forms: a pure merit bursary based on academic results, and a merit bursary with financial need for students who cannot afford university without support. Coverage includes funding towards SAICA accredited CA(SA) studies (value determined by KPMG based on circumstances and available funds) and a guaranteed training contract (articles) with KPMG after graduation. Eligibility: South African citizens who have completed Matric; studying full-time towards a SAICA accredited CA(SA) qualification at a SAICA accredited university; strong Matric results with A symbols (excluding Life Orientation); 1st year: min 65% overall and 70% Accounting; 2nd year: min 65% overall and 65% Accounting; 3rd year: min 60% overall and 60% Accounting; Honours/CTA: min 50% overall and 55% Accounting; must be able to complete degree in minimum years; financial need applicants must provide proof of household financial circumstances.
