Resource Overview
Vendor Master Data Management administers supplier data following the conclusion of a commercial process led by Procurement and maintains supplier information that is in line with the CARAT principles and standards. This process outlines the mandatory documentation requirements and ongoing compliance obligations for suppliers registering and doing business with Eskom, with clear distinctions between local companies, foreign companies with a South African footprint, and foreign companies without a local footprint.
Maintenance of a compliant supplier profile is prudent when doing business as a registered supplier with Eskom.
-
Maintaining a valid and compliant supplier profile whilst doing business with Eskom: All existing suppliers are required to ensure that their annual returnable documentation is kept up to date, including any changes made after initial registration are formally communicated. Suppliers must keep profiles up to date, renew compliance documents when they expire, proactively notify Eskom of any company changes, immediately communicate any non-compliance with Tax, VAT, B-BBEE, or COID LOGS, and respond promptly to Eskom communications.
-
Guide on Bank changes for existing suppliers: Requirements include a Bank Confirmation Letter with bank stamp not older than 3 months, a company letter on official letterhead requesting changes including vendor number, old and new account numbers, signed by directors, and new bank details verified on the CSD report.
-
Guide on B-BBEE affidavits: Suppliers must use the correct template from the B-BBEE commissioner website, completing all required fields including designation, enterprise name, trading name, company registration number, physical address, entity type, financial information basis, financial year end, level, deponent signature and commissioner of oaths stamp and signature.
