IDENTIFICATION OF SKILLS GAPS IN SOUTH AFRICA: A TECHNICAL RESEARCH REPORT

The purpose of this research is to review existing skills frameworks and develop a comprehensive, tailored framework that reflects the specific needs and requirements of South Africa's labour force. The study also aims to identify skills gaps within the labour market and address them through appropriate skills development programmes. By examining the current skills landscape and its associated challenges, the research seeks to improve understanding of workforce needs, inform policy development, and provide guidance on the education and training programmes that should be prioritized.
