Overview
The Seed Fund funds applied research, technology development and pre-commercialization. Its objective is to assist small, medium and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs) and higher education institutions (HEIs) in bridging financing requirements to translate research outputs into fundable ideas for commercialization. Funding ranges from R100,000 (minimum) to R500,000 (maximum) over a 12-month funding period.
Eligibility
Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Science Councils (SCs), Small, Medium and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs), and start-up companies based in South Africa.
